Hello! My name is Kiersten (You may know me from my previous blog Full of Beans). I am a college student living in Charlotte, North Carolina. I am a vegan with a passion for cooking, baking, books, and animals. My blog is mostly dedicated to my vegan recipes and kitchen experiments. I also like to dedicate posts to a few topics that are close to my heart- eating disorders, body image, depression, and mental/physical health. I spent several years of my life struggling with depression and an eating disorder. Now, I am trying to do the best I can to inspire others to follow the same path of recovery that I have been following these past few years.
i didn’t know you were in char-town too! are you up for a meet-up sometime?
i love your blog! i just stumbled on it from justflourishing and i am head over heels for your positive attitude and sweet, reflective spirit. i just transitioned to veganism and am really looking forward to catching up on all your wonderful posts!
cheers!

Hi,
My name is Olivia Mardwig from Skyhorse Publishing and I just wanted to let you know about two new books coming out this November just in time for Vegan MoFo that would be great features to blog about. The books are:
1. The Vegan Cookie Connoisseur by Kelly Peloza, which includes over 140 mouth-watering recipes, like White Russian Cookies, Spicy Mexican Hot Chocolate Cookies, even Oatmeal Cream Pies! It’s hard to believe the cookies are made with all natural vegan ingredients. Each recipe appears with a beautiful, vivid photograph that look so amazing you won’t want to wait to pre-heat the oven. Dessert recipes like Eggnog Cookies and Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies are great to try out before the holidays!
2. The Vegan Girl’s Guide to Life by Melisser Elliott is the ultimate lifestyle handbook for anyone who wants to know where to buy the “greenest” makeup products ,where to shop at the most environmentally friendly clothing stores, even how to keep vegan while pregnant or on vacation! The Vegan Girl’s Guide to Life also provides answers to the common questions that “non-vegans” ask and includes fun and funky crafts and recipes to keep things interesting!
Let me know if you’d like to see a review copy of either or both books. The authors are also available for interviews and Q&A’s .
I look forward to hearing back from you soon! Enjoy Vegan MoFo!
Best,
Olivia Mardwig

Love your site! You should submit your recipes to sites like Four Green Steps and Food Gawker
Hi, Kiersten! I wondered if I could use your photo for an article I’m writing. It looks like a perfect broccoli, rice, and cheese casserole. I would of course link it back to your blog. Let me know. Thanks. –Vicki
P.S. It’s an article for Hubpages.
Sure Vicki!
